1 〔温度が下がる〕 get [grow, become] cold; get chilly; (begin to) be [feel] chilly; 〔寒く感じる〕 get [grow, become] cold; (begin to) be [feel] chilly; 〔冷え性で〕 one's hands and feet [fingers and toes] get cold.

●よく冷えたビール nice (and) cold beer; well-chilled beer

・冷えないように厚着する put on plenty of clothes so that one doesn't get cold; keep oneself warm by wearing warm clothing [bundling oneself up properly].

●今夜は冷えるぞ. It's going to be (really) cold [chilly] tonight.

・〔挨拶で〕 冷えますねえ. Cold [Chilly], isn't it.

・冷蔵庫にスイカが冷えている. There is a chilled watermelon in the fridge.
